CURANDERISMO IN THE 21ST CENTURY
I realized that the modern medical model that I had to follow as a nurse left out so much of what made up a human being-the heart, soul and spiritual beliefs, the complexity of human experiences and the need for personalized treatment. I do not treat the diagnosis; I treat the person. HEART HEALS HEART.
A platica is a relationship between a curandera and the people she serves. Corazon cura corazon. Heart heals heart. I never separate my heart and soul from the heart and soul of my clients. My heart is one of my greatest tools and I invite it to each of my healing sessions.
I have been lecturing and guiding retreats in Mexico, USA, and Europe, but now desire to work closer to home. I will still be doing occasional keynotes and lectures, but I have always loved working right at home with individuals and their families.
The Limpia is a soul-cleansing rite that can clear away lingering clouds and festering wounds from abandonment, divorce, death, abortion and the loss of dreams. This ritual can help release grief, lighten your soul, let your true spirit be heard, and help you become more balanced and fulfilled.
I also do soul retrievals, house blessings, wedding blessings, and a 3-day intensive for people from out of town. The 3-day intensive includes platicas, limpias, and a soul retrieval.
